Like Cream, Enrique Pena Nieto Rises To The Top

The Partido Revolucionario Institutional (PRI) has picked Enrique Pena Nieto as their candidate to run for president in Mexico's 2012 election. At 45, he is a young presidential candidate, but has experience of an older politician. Even though he has political connections, he is a lawyer with a master's in business.

He helped lay the groundwork for his political career when he became a member of the PRI in 1984. Initially, he worked as an instructor in PRI's Electoral Training Center and later on became Coordinator for the party's Parliamentary Group in the LV Legislature. He also held the job as Chairman of the Political Board of the same legislature.

If you count the decade of the 90's to the year 2002, Nieto was working for the state government of Mexico for at least 10, maybe 12, years. During his stint in the state government of Mexico, he acted as, Government Administration Secretary, President of the Directive Council for the Social Security Institute, President of the Internal Council of Health Institute and Vice President of the Government Board for Integral Family Development System During this period, he also secured membership to the National Institute of Public Administration and the Administrative Council for Decentralized Public Agencies.

Nieto worked as a political advisor to PRI. All of his duties helped to prepare him for his future as a candidate. His move from state government to presidential candidate has been seamless.

In 2004, he played a role in nominating candidates for governor of the state of Mexico. He beat other candidates in the nomination process, namely Guillermo González Martínez, Gustavo Cárdenas Monroy, Jaime Vázquez Castillo, Eduardo Bernal Martínez, Fernando Alberto García Cuevas, Cuauhtémoc García Ortega, Isidro Pastor Medrano, Enrique Jacob Rocha, Héctor Luna de la Vega and Carlos Hank Rhon. The PRI nominated him as their gubernatorial candidate, in February 2005.

The race was over on July 3, 2005. He won by a landslide with a vote of 49 percent. Five thousand people watched him become the official governor of the state of Mexico on September 15, 2005 at the Morelos Theater in Toluca.

The environment, energy reform and sustainable development and the acceleration of educational reform in support of youth empowerment and employment generation were his priorities when he became governor. A true politician, he proved himself extremely capable of handling conflict within the party. Positive advances with respect to the state's economy, housing and agriculture sectors were achieved during his term.

He closed the door on his job as governor and opened the door to the presidency. Senator Manlio Fabio Beltrones, Nieto's only opponent, has chosen not to run after all. Beltrone's decision not to run has enabled the PRI party to get behind Nieto one hundred percent.

Despite controversies, Pena Nieto is often referred to as the next president of Mexico. It is no surprise that Pena Nieto has cleverly held his own political polls to discredit his opponents, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador of the leftist PRD party and Josefina Vazquez Mota of the ruling party PAN. July 1, 2012, will mark a new era in politics for Mexico, when the people will elect a new President.

The PRI hopes to regain the Presidency through this popular former governor of Mexico state. His concern and good work for the people of Mexico have laid the groundwork for the perception of Pena Nieto to be that of a democratic president unlike past presidents who were more like dictators. Pena Nieto wants to develop Mexico into the nation it ought to be, a country with great natural resources and good people who are willing and able to work who should not be afraid and who have to leave in order to survive, but let's face it, Nieto has gotten where he is with the help of many people who he too will probably owe favors....good luck Mexico!

Steve Heyer CEO and His Ideas

Because progress cannot be halted, Steve Heyer CEO argues that companies have to be smart about the way they market themselves, always seeking new methods because new things are coming upon them. Heyer spoke of such things years past, almost as though he could see the future with inhuman clarity. Heyer's remarks on the topic were given some years ago in a gathering of executive officers of various advertising companies.

The man occupies a top position in Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. There were several occasions where Heyer enlarged on what he had meant about finding innovative marketing approaches in the famous conference long ago. His primary claim was that he had not intention of marketing a hotel room but rather wanted to market an experience.

Experiences are the products to Heyer, not the rooms. We deliver memories.” This is a complete change in perspective and approach, although the product and services did not change at all.

Heyer believed that the future held great things by way of personalization. This is precisely what one now observes in businesses: customization. And this is most apparent in the computer and digital industries.

The latest developments have also spelled difficulty for people in entertainment. When Napster.com, the first music downloading service website, burst into the scene, the music industry lost millions in potential revenue. Almost instantly, people were getting on board the pirate ship, so to speak.

Heyer's conference speech talked about the panic music-producers went through during this time. Heyer told people in music production that they now had to adapt to this new setting, as it could no longer be stopped. To Heyer, the new cultural trends dictating the market could influence even TV itself, one of the biggest entertainment industries of all time.

Steve Heyer argues that modern marketing efforts should focus on the creation of cultures, not products. In the interview explaining his marketing strategy for Starwood Hotels, he furthered explained that they are now a company engaged in distributing entertainment and unforgettable experiences. Their focus now is not anymore on the beautiful hotels with a total worth of billion dollars but on the opportunities to create memories.

To this end, Victoria’s Secret has been called on to partner with the hotels to produce The Limited Victoria Secret shows for exclusive viewing in the hotels. The Victoria's Secret shows command a good bit of attention, and only select guests of the hotels are allowed. This is a clear example of marketing an experience.

Steve Heyer has also made negative remarks about a growing trend in the LA film industry: the insertion of brands in random shots. This is a meaningless practice, in Heyer's opinion. He doubted that such appearances would actually bring up sales in any way.

Steve Heyer CEO is someone who knows what he is doing: he even used to be chief of Coca Cola, one of the biggest businesses in the world. It was during his work then that he showed what he meant by smart and relevant brand appearance in a video shot. He very subtly and effectively placed Coca Cola glasses on the “American Idol” judge’s table.

How Much do AACSB Online MBA Programs Cost?

What kind of person will benefit from something like an AACSB online MBA degree? It is important for professors in business institutions to hold an AACSB-accredited business degree for their chosen line of work. If you want to work for a company, this degree will only be beneficial if you are fighting for the executive position.

For Intel, who has been providing tuition assistance for workers interested in getting their MBAs, the company announced that they will start extending support only to MBA graduates of AACSB accredited schools. This is regardless of whether the degree is earned online or on-campus. If you manage to get a business degree from a school with the AACSB's seal of approval, you will have an edge professionally.

What you have here is the abbreviated version of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. Here is an agency that is voluntarily run and they are in charge of evaluating business and accounting schools for educational quality. Since they started working in the 1900s, this agency has continually evaluated business institutions year after year.

A number of Ivy League business institutions have obtained a seal of approval from the AACSB which has been consistent in this field. The thing about MBA courses from top notch schools such as Yale and Stanford is that these have all been certified by the AACSB. Of these, the Duke University offers an AACSB online MBA degree program.

May the program be in a campus setting or coursed through the Internet, there is no law stating that without an AACSB accreditation, schools cannot offer these degrees. The AACSB has standards for the schools and programs that they certify but based on a recent study, about seventy percent of the institutions that have been accredited are not following the rules. Even if an AACSB accredited online degree is more advantageous than conventional ones, there are only about thirty percent of total schools that have received this kind of certification.

It is possible for institutions to provide quality education to their students even if they have not been accredited by the AACSB. There are times when universities that do not have the AACSB's accreditation offer even better programs for their students. Since universities deal with students that are a bit older at times, they need flexibility in their program design and this is only achievable if they are not bound by the standards of the AACSB.

In the case of an AACSB online MBA, this is something that will lead students to higher expenses when they study and so a traditional MBA is often chosen. Those who can go for an AACSB online MBA are the people who can afford to pay about 30000. About 23000 is the average price for an MBA that has only been accredited regionally.

You can easily save 10000 when you opt for the conventional MBA. Choose the ordinary MBA if you are working with a strict budget. You may skip AACSB accreditation too to gain easier admission to an MBA program.

What makes the AACSB approved MBA better? The GMAT is something that will be required when it comes to this and you should also have a higher than usual undergraduate GPA. This can be a frustrating requirement for average students as most AACSB-accredited business schools typically uphold higher admission standards than their counterparts.

Do not be discouraged because of the higher admission standards that come with an AACSB online MBA degree since there are a ton of benefits that you can expect from it as well. If you are eyeing a competitive job position, you should seriously consider this degree and if you are confident in what you know, the GRE or GMAT requirements should not bother you one bit. For those with adequate funding and for those who are concerned with academic prestige, this is the course to consider.
